When we are hungry, it's tempting to satisfy our appetite fast. But it's not just what we eat that matters – there's a hidden health benefit to eating more slowly.
In a five-year study, researchers followed more than 1,000 people and found that fast eaters were 11.6% more likely to have at least three of the following risk factors for poor health: obesity, high blood pressure, high triglycerides and high blood sugar.
