Supporting Indigenous youth to realize their potiential
As part of the Broadway Health Collective’s commitment to Reconciliation in Action, I had the pleasure of meeting with Ted View, principal at Oskāyak High School, to discuss the possibility of a community collaboration this Christmas.
I learned that attendance was one of the major challenges at Oskāyak, in which Ted and staff were committed to increasing the current 54% attendance rate. As Ted spoke about the significant relationship between school attendance and positive academic and social outcomes, we decided to collaborate on an Attendance Incentive.
