Treatment involves working directly on the muscles of the jaw both inside and outside of the client’s mouth decreasing trigger points and tension in the muscles affecting the TMJ. The temporomandibular joint connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the skull (temporal bone) in front of the ear. Issues such as head and neck pain, facial pain, ear pain, headaches, a jaw that is locked in position or difficult to open, problems with biting, and clicking or popping sounds can be effectively addressed with this treatment.
