Hi, I'm Tara, and I'm so glad you're here.
My path has always been centered around caring for others. For nearly 25 years, I've worked in the nursing field, and for over 15 years I've been a family photographer. Both roles have allowed me to witness the strength, resilience, and beauty of people during some of life's most meaningful moments.
Today, I bring that same caring presence into my work as a Usui Reiki Practitioner. My Reiki sessions are intuitively guided and designed to meet you where you are. I take time before each session to listen and learn about your goals or concerns, and afterward we spend time discussing your experience and any insights that may have come forward.
While Reiki is the foundation of my practice, I may also incorporate tools such as tarot, pendulum work, crystals, or other intuitive supports when appropriate. Reiki is suitable for anyone seeking relaxation, balance, self-reflection, or energetic support, I also recognize that sometimes healing begins simply by having the opportunity to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a supportive environment.
When I'm not working with clients, I spend time with my husband, our two kids, and our dogs. We're usually found somewhere cheering on our kids at their various activities, tackling home improvement projects, gathering with family and friends, and enjoying as much time as possible at our northern cabin.
"I create a calm, supportive space where people can pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves."
People come to Reiki for many different reasons. Some are looking for an opportunity to slow down and relax, while others are navigating stress, life transitions, burnout, grief, emotional overwhelm, or simply feel disconnected from themselves. Reiki can provide a quiet space for reflection, self-care, and energetic balance. Every person's experience is unique, and sessions are intended to support overall well-being and relaxation.
Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice that promotes relaxation and supports the body's natural ability to restore balance. Sessions are generally hands-off and are tailored to each client's individual needs and intentions.
As a reminder, although I have a long background in nursing, I am not acting as a nurse during Reiki sessions. Reiki is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical care. Any health concerns should be directed to the appropriate healthcare provider.
